As you’ve probably pieced together by now, my name is Marjaan Simab and I’m and Afghan-American filmmaker! Storytelling through has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since I was a kid, I have been fascinated with videos and how they are able to capture moments in time. Up until a few years ago, I thought it was just a hobby. Then, it all clicked. This is how I move through the world. It’s how I pay attention, how I understand things, and how I experience them.
